Celebrating Community & Gratitude This Holiday Season

The holidays are a special time to connect with the people around us, to share warmth, and to give back to those who need it most. At The Yard Butler, our work extends beyond landscaping; we believe in helping our communities thrive in every possible way. This year, we’re proud to partner with Elevate Academy East to provide a free Thanksgiving meal for neighbors who could use a little extra support and company.

Partnering With Elevate Academy East

Elevate Academy East is opening its doors on Wednesday, November 26th, from 2 to 4 p.m., at 1873 Walton Avenue, to serve a free Thanksgiving meal. The event is open to anyone in the community, providing not just food, but conversation, warmth, and connection. Ammon City Mayor Sean Coletti will join volunteers and community members in serving the meal and sharing in the spirit of gratitude.

This celebration of generosity is made possible entirely through donations and volunteer support. To help, Elevate Academy is accepting food items, and every contribution makes a real difference.

Food items you can donate include:

  • Turkeys. The centerpiece of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes. A comforting, easy-to-prepare side.
  • Boxed Stuffing. A classic favorite that complements any plate.
  • Premade Pies. Sweet treats for the perfect holiday finish.
  • Canned Yams. A staple for any festive spread.
  • Butter. Essential for adding flavor and richness.
  • Turkey Gravy Packets. Brings every dish together in true Thanksgiving style.

Donations can be dropped off at Elevate Academy’s front office, or pickup can be arranged by contacting Mrs. Jenkins at jjenkins@elevate208.org. Every item helps ensure that someone in our community has a warm, nourishing meal this holiday season.

Living Our Christian Principles Through Service

At The Yard Butler, our faith and family values are at the heart of everything we do. We bring the Christian principles of respect, care, and hard work into every project, interaction, and relationship. By putting God and family first, we create a higher standard of service that benefits every customer we work with.

Our business has been family-owned for three generations, and over the decades, we have proudly helped thousands of home and business owners across Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and surrounding communities. We operate under the Golden Rule, treating others as we would want to be treated, and we bring that same care to every landscaping, lawn care, pest control, and snow removal project we undertake.

Coming Together as a Community

For The Yard Butler, participating in this event is a natural extension of how we work in our communities every day. Just as we focus on making homes and businesses more beautiful through our residential and commercial landscaping services, we also strive to make our neighborhoods better places to live. Giving back and supporting local efforts like this Thanksgiving meal reflects the same care, attention, and dedication we bring to every project.

Ways you can help include:

  • Donating Food Items. Every contribution brings comfort and joy to someone in need.
  • Volunteering Time. Help serve meals or spend time connecting with guests.
  • Sharing the Event. Let others know about the meal to ensure no one is left out this Thanksgiving.

Community gatherings like this remind us how much difference small acts of kindness can make. Volunteers, students, staff, and neighbors all come together to create something meaningful. Every plate served and every conversation shared strengthens the bonds that make a community truly special.

Giving Back Year-Round Is Our Priority

At The Yard Butler, we’re committed to improving communities in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and the surrounding areas year-round. From professional landscaping services to supporting local initiatives, we aim to make every property—and every neighborhood—a better place to be.

Participating in community events like Elevate Academy East’s Thanksgiving meal is a natural extension of these values. Serving our neighbors, supporting local initiatives, and giving back during the holidays are ways we put our faith into action and make our communities better places to live.
